Bio
Mark Forrester walks the streets of his native Manhattan like so many paths of a deep wood from which he draws inspiration.
His family has lived in this town since the 1880s. By the 1960s, few would have rationally sought refuge here, in what was then deemed one of the world's most dangerous and dirtiest cities (yesterday's pages of The New York Times rolling like tumbleweeds down Broadway on the Upper West Side).
And yet, even as a child, he walked these streets, tiny little guitar in one hand, a large typewriter in the other.
The rain-slicked deep-blue black streets of Manhattan (long may they reign). The Pan Am Building. Rogers Peet. Horn & Hardart. CBGB.
And yet, adhuc viventem : the Music of Mark Forrester.
